HISTORY OF EYE

EYE or Encouraging the Youth to Excel (formerly known as Encouraging the Youth for Excellence) started as a Sanguniang Kabataan party for the 2007 SK Elections. Its name was conceptualized by Arjun Baladya, Ernie Evangelista, and Tyche Abad. Having lost during the elections, the youth group emerged from being a party, now as a registered NYC youth organization.

"Service is our universal language", has become the main teaching and objective of the youth organization.

In the years, EYE has started campaigns on literacy and environment. The programs Go Green Campaign and Teach-A-Kid became the two main programs of the group. Other activities had been conducted and held by the group and continues to promote youth empowerment.
